Tran Doubles in Four-Bet Pot

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
JC Tran
JC Tran

Carlos Mortensen opened to 135,000 in the hijack, and James Alexander called in the cutoff. JC Tran put in a raise to 420,000 on the button, but Jorn Walthaus cranked it up to 945,000 from the big blind. Mortensen and Alexander got out of the way, and Tran called. The flop came {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{k-Spades}, and Walthaus bet 655,000. Tran raised to 1,450,000, and Walthaus came back over the top to 2,245,000. Tran immediately moved all in, and Walthaus called.

Tran: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Walthaus: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Tran had outflopped his opponent in a big way, and he just needed to fade an ace and running hearts. The turn and river were the {3-Clubs} and the {q-Diamonds}, securing Tran's double.
