A Bunch of Hands

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #30: Jacob Jung raised to 40,000 and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #31: Again, Jacob Jung raised to 40,000 and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #32: This time is was Robert Dreyfuss who raised and took down the pot. He was in the cutoff.

Hand #33: Robert Dreyfuss opened for 45,000 from late position and received a call from Brent Hanks in the big blind. Both players checked the {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop as well as the {9-Spades} turn, and then Hanks bet 40,000 on the {Q-Spades} river. Dreyfuss called with the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, and he chopped it as Hanks held the same hand with the {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

Hand #34: Amit Makhija got a walk in the big blind.

Hand #35: Matt Waxman opened for 40,000 under the gun and took down the pot.

Jason Koon Eliminated in 9th Place ($22,435)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Jason Koon - 9th Place
Jason Koon - 9th Place

Hand #29: A short-stacked Jason Koon moved all in from middle position for 59,000 and Brent Hanks three-bet it to 100,000 from late position. Amit Makhija took his time in the cutoff before four-betting to 200,000, and Hanks moved all in after action folded back to him. Makhija made the call and discovered the bad news.

Hanks: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Makhija: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Koon: {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Hanks had Makhija dominated, while Koon's best chance at survival was an ace. The {7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop gave Koon a pair of fours, but he'd need another to make it count. The {10-Spades} turn wasn't what he needed, and neither was the {J-Spades} river. Koon was dispatched in ninth place while Hanks doubled through Makhija.

Two More Hands

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #27: Robert Dreyfuss raised to 45,000 from early position and then called when Amit Makhija three-bet to 105,000 from the small blind. The latter then fired out 85,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop and Dreyfuss folded.

Hand #28: Eric Baldwin opened for 40,000 from middle position and then folded when Matt Waxman three-bet to 110,000 from the big blind.

Two for Baldwin & One for Makhija

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #24: Robert Dreyfuss raised to 45,000 from late position and then called when Eric Baldwin three-bet to 105,000 from the button. The blinds folded, Dreyfuss called and the flop fell {5-Spades}{j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Baldwin led out for 105,000 and Dreyfuss released his hand.

Hand #25: Matt Waxman raised to 40,000 from middle position and then folded when Eric Baldwin three-bet to 95,000 from the cutoff.

Hand #26: Jacob Jung opened for 40,000 under the gun and received a call from Amit Makhija in the small blind. The {5-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop saw Makhja lead out for 60,000, and Jung snap-folded.

Baldwin Doubles Through Koon

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #23: Jason Koon raised to 40,000 under the gun and cleared the field to Eric Baldwin, who moved all in for 323,000 from the small blind. Koon made the call with the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} but was in dire straits against the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} of Baldwin. The {8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop paired both players, but Baldwin's king kicker had him firmly in the lead. Neither the {J-Spades} turn nor {5-Diamonds} river was what Koon needed, and he was knocked down to 97,000.

Big Pot for Waxman

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Hand #22: Matt Waxman opened for 32,000 from the cutoff and was met by a three-bet to 77,000 by Jess Dioquino in the small blind. Waxman made the call and it was heads-up action to the {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. Dioquino led out for 65,000, Waxman raised to 165,000 and Dioquino three-bet to 400,000. Waxman responded by moving all in for 816,000 total and Dioquino hit the tank.

He spent a solid ten minutes mulling over the decision, during which time many of the players exited the stage and the level went up. Eventually Dioquino sent his cards to the muck and Waxman took down the pot.
