Jung Gets Lucky to Stay Alive

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Jacob Jung of Los Angeles, California moved all in from the cutoff for roughly 70,000 and was called by Andrew Neeme from the small blind. Jung tabled the {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} and was disappointed to discover that he was dominated by the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} of Neeme.

The {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop paired both players, but Neeme's kicker had him firmly in the lead. Jung was looking for either a jack or ten to win the pot, and while the {7-Clubs} turn wasn't what he needed, the {10-Hearts} river was! Jung made a straight to score the come-from-behind double while Neeme watched the vast majority of his stack shipped across the table.
