Runner-Runner Torments Hellmuth

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Phil Hellmuth was just involved in a 3-way all-in pre-flop confrontation. Hellmuth put in the first raise from under-the-gun, to 800. Another player called, and then the button 3-bet to 1,800. Hellmuth quickly announced all-in. The caller asked Hellmuth for a count, and he responded about 9500. The player then announced all-in, and the button called for less.

Here are the players' hole cards:
Hellmuth: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Seat 1: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Button: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The flop was good news for Hellmuth. It fell {2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, giving Hellmuth a pair of aces and the lead over his opponents' pairs. The turn card, however, was the {7-Clubs}, giving one of his opponents outs to a flush. The river was the {8-Clubs}, completing the runner-runner flush for the button, but giving Hellmuth the small side pot.

Hellmuth is now down to 1050, but he has not given up and is trying to rebuild his stack.
