Raymer in Trouble

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Greg Raymer defended his big blind from a raise by Calen McNeil out of the small, and he called every street as the board came {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Spades}.

McNeil showed down {3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a wheel, and he scooped the pot.

The next hand, McNeil quartered Raymer to leave Raymer under two big bets.

Adam Coats Eliminated in 8th Place ($25,832)

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Adam Coats
Adam Coats

Jim Bucci raised first to act and Adam Coats called. Nick Kost three-bet it and Bucci called. Coats made it four bets and Kost capped the action with a fifth bet. Both Bucci and Coats called and we had 450,000 in the pot pre-flop.

The flop came {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Kost led out and was called by Bucci. Coats called and was all in for his last 20,000. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and Kost bet again. This time Bucci folded and the cards were turned over:

Kost {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the nut flush
Coats {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for trip deuces with a low draw

The river was the {K-Hearts} and Coats was unable to improve and was eliminated in 8th place.

Raymer Dodges Tons of Outs

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Greg Raymer three-bet from the big blind over an Alex Luneau open from the cutoff. Luneau called, and the flop came {4-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Spades}. Luneau raised Raymer's bet and the two got it in for Raymer's stack.

Raymer: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Luneau: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}

Raymer asked for running hearts, but a {3-Diamonds} turn gave Luneau outs for the nut low. A {3-Clubs} river was a total brick though, and Raymer's aces up were good for a double.

Series of Big Hands

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

We had a series of big hands go down in back-to-back-to-back hands. In the first hand, Greg Raymer would get crippled down to 120,000 when he would call Calen McNeil's pre-flop four-bet and then fold on the river on a {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board.

The next hand would see McNeil crippled Steve Chanthabouasy when he would hit a wheel on a {Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} board with his {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to scoop the pot. Chanthabouasy would show {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Chanthabouasy would double up the next hand against Alex Luneau with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} against Lunea's {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} on a {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} board to give him a Broadway straight.

McNeil Scoops Kost in Three-Bet Pot

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Nick Kost opened for a raise in the cutoff and got three-bet by Calen McNeil on the button. Kost check-called the first two streets before it went check-check on the river as the board read {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

Kost: {a-}{q-}{j-}{j-}
McNeil: {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades}

McNeil took high with two pair and low with a live six.

Lunea Scoops Coats

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Adam Coats limped from early position, Alex Luneau raised and it was folded back to Coats who made the call. The flop came {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Coats check-called a bet from Luneau. He would do the same on the {K-Spades} turn and the {3-Hearts} river and would muck his hand when Luneau turned over {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for two pair, kings and fours, and the nut low.

Konstantin Puchkov Eliminated in 9th Place ($20,181)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Konstantin Puchkov - 9th Place
Konstantin Puchkov - 9th Place

Greg Raymer raised on the button, and Konstantin Puchkov defended his big blind. Puchkov check-raised the {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop, and Raymer called. The {k-Hearts} turned, and Puchkov bet 32,000, everything he had. Raymer called off for 2,000 less.

Raymer: {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Puchkov: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Raymer's two pair was ahead, and the {a-} river gave him better aces up than his opponent. Nobody had a low.

The next hand Puchkov was all in from the small blind. Calen McNeil and Kal Raichura saw the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop for three bets, and McNeil check-called. McNeil check-raised the {k-Clubs} turn, forcing Raichura to fold.

He showed {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Spades} for a bluff to take the side pot, and Puchkov was a favorite to survive with {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. The {q-Hearts} river gave McNeil broadway though, and Puchkov was the first to exit the official final table.

Chanthabouasy Doubles Through Puchkov

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Konstantin Puchkov raised pre-flop and Steve Chanthabouasy made the call. The flop came {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Puchkov bet. Chanthabouasy made the call. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Puchkov would check-call Chanthabouasy's bet. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Puchkov would check-call Chanthabouasy's all in bet of 43,000.

Chanthabouasy {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} for aces up with a live four was good enough to take the entire pot as Puchkow had {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.
