McMillionaire

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

Joe Tehan raised to 50,000 and called the three bet of Christopher McHugh on the button to 75,000, the blinds folded. On the {5-Spades}{K-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, Tehan check-called 25,000 and then folded the {8-Spades} turn when McHugh bet 50,000. One hand later Tehan recovered some losses versus Erik Seidel and McHugh has extended his lead.

Seidel Losing Some Chips

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

Erik Seidel defended his big blind in a three-way pot with Joe Tehan and Christopher McHugh to see the {6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} flop. All three players checked and the {Q-Spades} turn saw McHugh bet 50,000. Seidel raised to 100,000 and Tehan folded, McHugh called.

The {3-Diamonds} showed up on the river and Seidel check-called 50,000. He got shown {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and mucked.

One hand later he flopped top pair and spiked a 8-7 low against a set of jacks to chop the pot.

Mike Leah Eliminated in 7th Place ($31,115)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Mike Leah - 7th Place
Mike Leah - 7th Place

Omaha Hi-Low

Mike Leah opened with a raise to 50,000 from under the gun and cleared the field all the way around t John Kabbaj, who opted to defend from the big blind. The {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop saw Kabbaj check-call a bet of 25,000 and then check the {Q-Diamonds} turn. Leah bet 50,000, Kabbaj check-raised to 100,000, and Leah thought for a long time before three-betting to 150,000, leaving himself just 15,000 back. Kabbaj four-bet and it went in.

Leah: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Kabbaj: {3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Kabbaj had a full house, which meant Leah would need either an ace or qualifying low on the river to stay alive. The {5-Spades} peeled off, and Leah initially thought the low card did it. Unfortunately for him it didn't as it double paired the board.

Leah will take home $31,115 for his seventh-place finish.

Tom Schneider Eliminated in 8th Place ($23,833)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Tom Schneider
Tom Schneider

Omaha Hi-Low

Tom Schneider was already down to 10,000 and one big bet earlier today before making a comeback. After a recent hand he was back to the short stack grind again and just now min raised from middle position. The action folded to Erik Seidel in the big blind and he asked how much Schneider had behind before just making the call.

On the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{Q-Spades} flop, Schneider got his remaining 22,000 in and Seidel called.

Seidel: {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Schneider: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The short stack was merely ahead with bottom pair but needed to dodge a lot of cards to stay alive. On the {6-Clubs} turn, Seidel made his straight and Schneider now needed a low card to chop the pot. It wasn't meant to be with the {Q-Diamonds} and Schneider has been eliminated in eighth place.

Keller Quarters Leah

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

In the very last hand of level 24, Mike Leah raised to 40,000 and Thomas Keller called out of the small blind. On the {K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop, both players invested 20,000 and then checked the {8-Hearts} turn. The {Q-Diamonds} river completed the pot and Keller bet 40,000. Leah called after some consideration and they turned over their cards.

Leah: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Keller: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Both had a 8-5 low and chopped that, but Keller won the hi pot with the aces and quartered his opponent.

Schneider Short Again

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

It seems like 2007 WSOP Player of the Year Tom Schneider has been flirting with elimination all day. One minute he'll be on a short stack, and the next he'll win some hands and spin it up. Well, right now he is back to one of those short stacks.

In a recent hand, Terrence Hastoo limped and Schneider did the same from the small blind. Christopher McHugh checked his option from the big and three players saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Schneider led out for 20,000, McHugh folded, and Hastoo made the call.

Schneider then check-called a bet of 40,000 on the {7-Spades} and check-folded to one on the {Q-Hearts} river. Schneider was left with just 72,000 after the hand.
