It took awhile, but the final table bubble has finally burst.

It happened when Jamie Armstrong opened for 60,000 from the cutoff and David Benefield moved all in for 256,000 from the button. The blinds both folded and Armstrong made the call.

Benefield: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Armstrong: {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Benefield had some major kicker issues and they never got resolved as the board ran out {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Armstrong ended up with a flush to send Benefield to the rail in tenth place.

Dinner Plans

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The tournament staff has just announced that when we lose the next player there will be a one-hour dinner break. Play has been extremely slow as of late, so there's no telling when that may be. With the blinds going up in a minute, we're guessing it'll be sooner than later.

Finally a Showdown

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Justin Oliver opened for 60,000 from the hijack and Jamie Armstrong called from the big blind. Armstrong then check-called a bet of 60,000 on the {2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop before both players checked the {K-Hearts} turn and {8-Hearts} river.

Armstrong tabled the {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, but it was no good as Oliver held the better ace with the {a-Spades}{q-Spades}.
