Hands #120-124: Norden's Bluff Fails

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #120: Paul Cogliano limped from the small blind and Dutch Boyd checked his option in the big blind. Both players checked the {7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and Cogliano then bet 50,000 on the {10-Clubs} turn. Boyd called and did so for a second time after the {6-Spades} river for 65,000. Cogliano showed {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts} but that was only second best to the {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} of his opponent.

Hand #121: Cogliano limped from the button, Boyd folded the small blind and Steven Norden checked his option in the big blind. On the {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} flop, Norden bet 55,000 but quickly folded when Cogliano raised it up to 165,000.

Hand #122: Boyd raised to 100,000 from the button and Cogliano defended his big blind to see the {J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop. Cogliano checked, Boyd did so as well. The {8-Spades} showed up on the turn. Now Cogliano bet 90,000 and Boyd made the call.

The {4-Spades} river completed the board. Cogliano checked, Boyd glanced at his stack and then bet 200,000. Cogliano let go and the rail once again started cheering for Boyd.

Hand #123: Boyd received a walk in the big blind. More applause from the rail followed.

Hand #124: Cogliano raised to 100,000 and Norden called out of the big blind to see the {5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} flop. Both players checked and the {K-Clubs} followed on the turn. Norden bet 90,000 and Cogliano called.

The river card was the {7-Clubs} and Norden led for 165,000, resulting in a quick call from Cogliano. Norden had been caught bluffing and Cogliano won the pot with the {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}.
