Bergman vs. Arieh

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #66: Josh Bergman raised to 75,000 from the small blind and Josh Arieh defended from the big. Both players proceeded to check the {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop and then Bergman led out for 65,000 on the {5-Spades} turn. Arieh called and then called a bet of 115,000 on the {2-Spades} river.

Bergman rolled over the {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. It was good, as Arieh mucked.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Kanit checked to Yoon who bet 65,000. Kanit called, the {3-Spades} landed on the turn and Kanit checked again. Yoon bet 150,000, Kanit check-raised to 345,000 and Yoon called to see the {K-Spades} river.

Kanit shoved for 875,000, sending Yoon into the tank for a good three minutes before he called. Kanit showed {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a missed open-ended straight draw, while Yoon tabled {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for a pair of aces to score the elimination.

Dan Smith - 6th Place

Hand #58: Mustapha Kanit raised to 48,000 from under the gun, Dan Smith moved all in for 444,000 out of the small blind, and Kanit called.

Kanit: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Smith: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

"Four forty-four?" Smith said. "Good omen. Guaranteed winner. Four-four-four flop."

The flop wasn't all fours, but the {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} board gave Smith two backdoor draws. The {k-Diamonds} on the turn kept both of them alive, and Smith looked excited.

"Can I sweat the river?" he asked, wanting to peel the river card on his own.

The dealer burned one last card, then spiked the {k-Spades} on the river.

"What the hell!" Smith yelled out, grinning.

He hit the rail in sixth place, earning $95,515, while Kanit chipped up to 1.17 million.

Timo Pfutzenreuter - 7th Place

Hand #49: Mustapha Kanit moved all in for 285,000 in the cutoff, and Timo Pfutzenreuter called all-in for 259,000 on the button.

Kanit: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Hands #47-48: All In and Chop

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Hand #47: Dan Smith raised to 53,000 in the cutoff, Mustapha Kanit moved all in for 267,000 out of the small blind, and Smith called.

Smith: {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Kanit: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} flop gave Smith a pair of aces, but Kanit was drawing very live after the {j-Spades} fell on the turn. Any non-spade king or any jack would give him the best hand, and a spade would chop the pot.

The river was a spade - the {2-Spades} - and the two chopped.

Hand #48: Brian Yoon raised to 50,000 in the cutoff, winning the blinds and antes.
