The board ran out and Brown hit the rail just short of the final table.

After the flop, Brown said to the dealer "give me a queen, come on you can do it." His request was denied, however, as the board completed with the turn and the river, and Sokoloff earned the double-up.
It is Day 3 of Event#45: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em and 11 players are coming back to fight for a bracelet and a top prize of $306,634.
On Day 2 we saw quick and steady eliminations as the field went from 144 to very near the final table. The overnight chip leader was Angela Prada-Moed and she will start the day with a healthy 961,000.
Loren Klein is close behind Prada-Moed with 804,000 thanks in large part to winning a big flip for the final elimination of Day 2. Ivan Saul (613,000) will sit third in chips and Will Givens bagged up 546,000. Givens has secured his fourth cash of the 2014 WSOP and is just two eliminations from his second final table of the series. He may be able to declare himself a “$1,000 buy-in master” if he can match or beat his fourth-place finish in event #33.
Day 3 will begin at 1:00 p.m. PT and PokerNews' Live Reporting Team will be on hand to bring you all of the action, including hand-for-hand coverage once the official final table of nine is reached.
