Waxman Makes a Nice Call
Level 7
: 150/300, 25 ante
We get to the table with a board of and Matt Waxman facing a bet of 3,000. "Five," he asked his opponent, who said nothing and sat there motionless. Waxman continued to study him, a call collected in his left hand. Finally, the WSOP bracelet winner tossed the chips into the middle and his opponent turned over for a busted straight draw. Waxman turned over and rubbed the cards back and forth against the table to show the dealer he had the better hand. The dealer didn't quite seem to understand what had happened so Waxman had to tell her that his ace high was good. She pushed the pot to Waxman who moved to 14,200 in chips after the hand.
