Checking the Nuts

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Michael Bees raised on the button, Ismael Bojang called in the big blind, and the flop fell {5-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds}, Bojang check-called a bet, and the river was the {j-Hearts}. Bojang checked, Bees checked behind, and he jumped in his seat when he realized he checked behind with {a-}{q-} for the nuts.

Per WSOP rules, Bees was given a one-hand penalty for checking behind on the river with the nuts.

Hui Now Short

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

After going from nearly out to the chip lead, Phillip Hui has run into a rough stretch that finds him as the short stack. In the latest hand, one against Zach Milchman, Hui folded {Q-}{Q-}{X-}{X-} face up on a board of {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} after putting in bets or calls on the flop and turn. Milchman mucked and Hui said "at least show me you had it."

Milchman didn't show but said "nut nut" as he raked in the chips.

Don't Call it a Comeback

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

It's upswing time for Ismael Bojang.

After picking up a few pots without showdowns, he called a raise from Phillip Hui (small blind) out of the big blind, and the flop fell {q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Hui led out, Bojang called, and the turn was the {k-Hearts}.

Hui slowed down, check-calling a bet, and the {2-Clubs} completed the board. Hui check-called one last bet, then mucked when Bojang showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a straight.

Bojang Gets Crippled Then Quadruples

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Down to his last 70,000 after losing a pot to Michael Bees, Ismael Bojang found a perfect opportunity to get the last of his chips in after Bees opened and Phillip Hui called. Zack Milchman joined in on the fun and there were four to the flop.

The dealer put out {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Milchman led out leading to quick folds from Bees and Hui. Milchman turned over {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a flopped set of threes and Bojang showed {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a heart flush draw. He would hit that draw on the {10-Hearts} turn and when the river did not pair the board with the {5-Clubs} he would take down the pot and quadruple up to 280,000 in chips.

Bojang Plummets

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Ismael Bojang
Ismael Bojang

Michael Bees raised on the button, Ismael Bojang celled in the big blind, and both players checked on a flop of {9-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The turn was the {2-Hearts}, both players checked again, and the river was the {q-Clubs}. Bojang bet, Bees called, and the latter scooped with {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

The very next hand, Phillip Hui raised on the button, Bojang reraised out of the small blind, and Hui called. The flop fell {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, Bojang check-called a bet, and the turn was the {9-Spades}. Bojang called another bet, and both players checked on the river ({10-Clubs}).

Hui showed {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, and Bojang checked his cards one more time before mucking.

Milchman Doubles

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

With the board showing {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Zack Milchman raised Ismael Bojang to put himself all in and at risk. Bojang had {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for an eight high straight while Milchman had {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and a baby flush draw.

"Need a heart to scoop," said Milchman to his rail and he would get exactly that when the dealer turned over the {9-Hearts}. Milchman's rail went nuts and Milchman doubled up to 630,000 in chips.

Bees on a Tear

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

After winning a few smaller pots, chipping up, Michael Bees is now flirting with a million chips.

In a recent hand, Phillip Hui raised from under the gun, Zack Milchman called out of the small blind, and Bees defended his big blind. All three players checked on a flop of {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades}, and the turn was the {4-Spades}. Milchman checked, Bees bet, and only Hui called.

The river was the {q-Hearts}, Bees bet out, and Hui folded.
