Deeb Doubles, Still Short

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Freddy Deeb doubled to 3,700 but is still incredibly short.

Deeb, in the big blind, called a raise of 650 from the cutoff and then open-shipped his stack into the middle on a {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop, a bet that received an instantaneous call from his opponent.

It was {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} versus {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}, Deeb holding the lower of the pairs. The {Q-Spades} on the turn was no help to Deeb, but the {6-Diamonds} was as it improved him to a set and won him the pot.

The player whose aces were cracked jumped from his seat and put his hands on his head in apparent disbelief.

"You still have money," said Deeb, "What are you moaning about?"

"First my jacks and now my aces?"

"You'll miss me when I'm gone, you'll be bored!" said Deeb, which drew a chuckle from several of the players at the table except the player with the cracked aces, of course.
