Hand #255: Check-Shove from Stephensen

Level 40 : 600,000/1,200,000, 200,000 ante

Martin Jacobson had the button, and he raised to 2.7 million. Felix Stephensen reraised to 8.2 million from the small blind, and Jorryt van Hoof folded from the big blind. Jacobson then took his time before making the call.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, and there was 18.2 million chips in the middle. After three-betting preflop, Stephensen checked to put the action on the Swede. Jacobson bet 6.2 million, or roughly one third of the pot, and Stephensen check-raised all in for 38.5 million, and Jacobson snap-folded.

Hand #251: Better Kicker for Stephensen

Level 40 : 600,000/1,200,000, 200,000 ante

Jorryt van Hoof had the button, and he raised to 2.6 million. Martin Jacobson folded from the small blind, and Felix Stephensen called from the big blind.

On the {J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, both players checked, and the turn was the {10-Clubs}. Stephensen checked, as did van Hoof.

The river was the {Q-Diamonds}, and Stephensen checked. Van Hoof bet 4 million, and Stephensen called.

Van Hoof showed the {5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for a pair of fives, but his kicker was no good against Stephensen's {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.
