Litvinov Mucks But Marches On

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Artem Litvinov opened for 650 from first position and got called by the player on his left and the blinds. The flop was {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and when the blinds checked Litvinov bet 2,500. This time the player on his left was the only caller.

The turn card was the {5-Diamonds} and Litvinov check-called a bet of 3,300 after studying the board for some time. When the {10-Clubs} appeared on the river Litvinov quickly threw out a bet of 6,000 and his opponent declared, “I’ve got to call.” As he reached for calling chips Litvinov’s cards hit the muck but the calling player had to show his {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} to be pushed the pot.

Litvinov may have lost that pot but it demonstrates the aggressive and creative play he brings to the table that has seen him accumulate a lot of chips today, many without going to showdown.
