In The Money in the $5,000 Turbo
The 2015 WSOP Event #56: $5,000 Turbo No-Limit Hold'em drew 454 entries Saturday, creating a $2,133,800 prize pool with plans to play 54 spots. A min-cash is worth $8,257 and first place includes a WSOP bracelet and $490,800.
After close to ten full levels of play on Day 1 the money bubble popped and play ended for the night with 54 players remaining. When play resumes at 2 p.m. local time Sunday Ukranian Igor Yaroshevskyy will come in with the chip lead.
A bevvy of top pros remain in contention including Kevin MacPhee, Blair Rodman, David Benefield, Shannon Shorr and Mike Watson. The event is scheduled for two days and plans are to play down to a winner Sunday.
