Alexey Makarov opened for 6,000 in the cutoff and Mike Matusow called on the button. Timothy Batow made it 16,500 in the small blind and it went three ways to the flop, but action checked to the river with on the felt. Matusow tossed his last 10,900 in after two checks, and Batow called. Makarov repotted to 95,500 and Batow tanked awhile and called.
Makarov had for a four-two low and aces up. Batow had for the nut low. Matusow looked disgusted with himself and shook his head.
"Why did I bet the river?" he asked, showing . "I lost all my chips today in big O, my best game. Stupid, stupid bet. No reason to bet the river."
