Hand #52-56: Maskill is More Involved

Level 29 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Hand #52: Jack Maskill raised to 25,000 from mid-position and Sam Phillips three-bet to 70,000 from the cutoff. Maskill called. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Maskill check-called the 55,000 bet of Phillips. The turn brought them the {Q-Diamonds}, Maskill checked again. Phillips continued with a bet of 135,000. Maskill checked out his own stack to see how much he had behind and then decided to call. The river completed the board with the {2-Clubs}, Maskill checked once more. Phillips looked at Maskill and then decided to also check. Maskill flipped over {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for the turned set of queens and Phillips mucked.

Hand #53: Phillips raised to 27,000 from the hijack and was called by Joe McKeehen in the big blind. They both checked through the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades} on the flop and the {q-Hearts} on the turn to the {3-Hearts} on the river. McKeehen check-called the 40,000 bet of Phillips. Phillips tabled {A-Spades}{4-Spades} for ace-high and was beaten by the {q-Spades}{2-Spades} of McKeehen who had turned top pair.

Hand #54: Joe Cada raised to 27,000 from the under-the-gun position and was called by Phillips in mid-position and Anthony Reategui on the button. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, Cada continued with a bet of 35,000 and both Phillips and Reategui folded.

Hand #55: McKeehen raised to 28,000 from the button, Maskill three-bet to 106,000 in the small blind. McKeehen folded.

Hand #56: McKeehen raised to 28,000 from the cutoff, now Maskill three-bet to 90,000 from the button. McKeehen folded again.
