Dustin Pattinson Eliminated in 7th Place ($29,862)

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Dustin Pattinson
Dustin Pattinson

Dustin Pattinson made it 125,000 on the button and small blind Joey Couden potted for 425,000. Pattinson paused for about 20 seconds and then pushed all his chips in forward. He had about 500,000 total and Couden called the extra big blind or so.

Dustin Pattinson: {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Joey Couden: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The {K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop brought two pair for Pattinson but Couden spiked a club flush draw along with a nut low draw. He got the low on the {8-Hearts} and then saw a bingo card on the river as the {Q-Clubs} gave him the flush.

"Yes!" Couden celebrated and Pattinson left the final table in 7th place.

Everybody Can Miss It

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Bruno Fitoussi limped in the hijack, Mike Matusow overlimped and so did Christopher Conrad on the button. Kim Kallman then potted for 300,000 and only Conrad matched the bid.

A quick action followed on the {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} flop where Kallman moved all in and Conrad called, opening {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a made low and a wrap.

"I can't miss it!" he said in excitement.

Conrad was up against {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Kallman was relieved when the {Q-Spades} turn and {10-Spades} river completed the board.

"Yes! Justice," he said.

Eli Elezra then lectured Conrad to never say 'I can't miss it' when it's not over as he's only jinxing himself. The table laughed and the players pulled their bets back.

Fitoussi Takes it Down with a Pair

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Eli Elezra limped under the gun and Dustin Pattinson, Joey Couden, and Bruno Fitoussi all limped as well. Kim Kallman checked his option and a {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} board was delivered.

Elezra bet 100,000 and Couden and Fitoussi stuck around. The {3-Clubs} hit the turn and everyone checked to see the {9-Spades} on the river.

All three checked again and Fitoussi took it down with the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Kallman and Couden Chop it Up

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Eli Elezra opened to 105,000 under the gun. Joey Couden called from late position and Kim Kallman defended the big blind. A {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop fanned out and Kallman bet the pot. Elezra folded and Couden moved all in. Kallman made the call to put Couden at risk.

Joey Couden: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Kim Kallman: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and the two players chopped Elezra's chips.

Gregory Jamison Eliminated in 8th Place ($22,541)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Gregory Jamison
Gregory Jamison

Gregory Jamison potted out of the hijack, having only 235,000 total. Eli Elezra called in the big blind and threw in 95,000 more when the {4-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} landed. Jamison called with two pair, holding {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Elezra was trailing with {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, hoping to catch a Broadway.

The {K-Spades} turn was a good card for Jamison but the {10-Hearts} river was deadly. Jamison sighed and exchanged fist knuckles with the remaining players before heading for the payout cage. He locked up $22,541 for his eighth-place finish.

Matusow Traps Broadway

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Mike Matusow raised to 100,000 in the first position and his neighbor Christopher Conrad flatted.

They checked the first two streets on the {6-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} board and Matusow led out 100,000 on the river. Conrad thought for a while but then released his hand.

Matusow showed the {A-}{10-}{4-}{X-} in return, revealing that he had the nuts. Eli Elezra asked Matusow why wasn't he betting it earlier and Matusow complimented Conrad in his own way.

"Because he's good! The only way to get his chips when he calls is to kinda trap his ass!"
