Daniel Strelitz
Daniel Strelitz

So far two fantastic day 1s have taken place here at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Twenty hours of play have generated a total of 2,215 runners and $1,993,500 in prize money so far. With another ten levels of play on the cards today, those numbers will only go up.

Daniel Strelitz is among the many big names who have already bagged themselves a seat for Day 2. With 32 WSOP cashes to his name, Strelitz will be looking to take home his first gold bracelet and with a very healthy 60 big blinds to play with, he is certainly in good shape to do so.

The action will start at 11a.m. local time and on the schedule for today are ten 60-minute levels. Late registration will be open for the first 8 levels, until 9:15 p.m. There will be 20-minute breaks every 2 levels and a 75-minute dinner break after level 6 (around 5:40 p.m.).

Players receive a 5,000 starting stack and for a $111 donation, they receive 5,000 additional chips. The donation goes to the charity OneDrop and must be added at the time of registration. For more details on the work of OneDrop, click here.
