Steven Jones Eliminated in 9th Place ($57,425)

Level 34 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
Steven Jones elimination
Steven Jones elimination

Hand #5:

Steven Jones shoved all in for 885,000 from the hijack. Roberly Felicio, in the small blind, asked for a count. The dealer confirmed the amount and Felicio folded. Song Choe then cut out calling chips and reluctantly called.

Steven Jones: {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Song Choe: {J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The flop came {J-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} to give Choe two pair and Jones one. Jones needed another deuce or ace to stay alive. The {10-Spades} on the turn and the {q-Diamonds} on the river weren't what he needed, and Jones was sent away from the stage in 9th place for $57,425.

Welcome to Day 4 of Event #7: $565 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em where cards will be in the air in just a few hours at 2 p.m. local time. After three long days of poker the massive 13,070 entry field is down to the final table.

USA's Sang Liu is leading the way with 18,205,000 after catching fire late on Day 3. The relatively unknown Liu has just five recorded tournament cashes on his Hendon Mob for $7,399. Liu has already locked up his largest career score and is now guaranteed at least $57,425.

Liu vaulted to the top of the chip counts holding {k-Spades}{10-Spades} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of Michael Cohen on the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop. All of the chips went in the middle and the turn {10-Hearts} improved Liu to a full house leaving Cohen drawing to just one out. The river {8-Hearts} sealed the deal for Liu eliminating Cohen in 11th and moving Liu into the chip lead.
