Obreshkov Gets Talked Out of a Bet
Stoyan Obreshkov raised to 10,500 from the under-the-gun position and action folded to the player in the cutoff who three-bet to 28,500. Nobody called so Obreshkov was up for the decision. Obreshkov looked at his opponent and called.
The flop came and Obreshkov check-called the 19,000 continuation-bet of his opponent.
They both checked through the on the turn to the on the river to complete the board. Obreshkov tanked.
After a while, they started talking to each other.
"How much do I need to bet for you to fold?" Obreshkov's opponent asked him.
"The action is on me, right?" Obreshkov said with a smile. "How much do I need to bet to make you call?"
"No, I am wondering how much I need to bet to make you fold?" Obreshkov's opponent said again.
Obreshkov just nodded and smiled and then checked. So did his opponent. The cutoff showed for the turned pair of queens.
"I should not have talked, should have just let you bet..." Obreshkov's opponent said.
