Dong Sheng Peng Eliminated in 3rd Place ($208,726)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Dong Sheng Peng
Dong Sheng Peng

Hand #200: Roman Korenev raised to 350,000 on the button, Dong Sheng Peng thee-bet shoved 2,490,000 and Korenev beat him to the pot.

Dong Sheng Peng: {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Roman Korenev: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Peng picked the wrong time to reshove and found himself in a deep hole. Despite the bleak prospect, his rail chanted "D-S-P!" in hopes of a miracle.

The {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} did provide some miracle backdoor fantasies for Peng, and the {4-Hearts} certainly was one of the cards to open the door. Peng could now win with a six or heart but caught the {5-Diamonds} instead to end his hopes and dreams in third place.

Just over an hour in, the field of six has been whittled down to the final two. They'll commence the heads-up after a ten-minute break.

Hand #193: Jared Koppel received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #194: Roman Korenev raised to 350,000 on the button and both of the blinds folded.

Hand #195: Dong Sheng Peng raised to 450,000 in the small blind and Korenev folded his big blind.

Hand #196: Peng made it 360,000 to go on the button and Koppel called from the big blind. The flop fell {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Koppel checked to Peng who bet 300,000. Koppel called and the {6-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Both players checked and the {a-Hearts} completed the board. Two more checks and Koppel turned over {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} to claim the pot.

Hand #197: Koppel limped in from the small blind and Peng checked his option. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Koppel check-called a bet of 200,000 from Peng. The {j-Clubs} hit the turn and both players checked to the {2-Hearts} on the river. Koppel led out for 450,000 and Peng called. Koppel tabled {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for two pair and Peng mucked his cards.

Hand #198: Koppel bumped it up to 330,000 on the button and Korenev called from the big blind. The flop fell {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Korenev checked to Koppel who bet 375,000. Korenev called and the {8-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Korenev checked for the third time and Koppel pushed out a bet of 2,000,000. Korenev called and Koppel tabled {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for two pair. However, Korenev showed {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a flush to rake in the pot.

Francis Anderson Eliminated in 4th Place ($149,605)

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Francis Anderson
Francis Anderson

Hand #192: Francis Anderson raised to 330,000 first to act. Roman Korenev three-bet shoved 3,930,000 from the blinds and Anderson quickly called all in for 3,600,000.

Roman Korenev {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Francis Anderson {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Anderson was in a great spot to decimate Korenev's stack but the {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop flipped the deck on him, suddenly forcing him to catch a nine or backdoor straight to stay alive. Neither the turn {j-Spades} and river {a-Clubs} brought said help, eliminating Anderson in fourth.

Hands #180-183: Koppel Empties the Clip

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Jared Koppel
Jared Koppel

Hand #180: Jared Koppel raised to 250,000 on the button and Roman Korenev defended the big blind. The flop was {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Koppel bet 175,000, which Korenev quickly called.

The turn brought a third club with the {9-Clubs} and Korenev checked. Koppel fired a second barrel worth 400,000, briefly considered by the Russian before calling again.

The {5-Spades} river completed the board and Korenev checked a third time. Koppel emptied the clip with a bet of 650,000 and Korenev sat motionless for over a minute. Eventually, he decided to call it off. Koppel showed him the bad news with {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} for a flopped Broadway to distance himself even further from the pack.

Hand #181: Korenev limped the small blind and Francis Anderson checked. On the {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, Korenev bet 125,000, Anderson raised to 380,000 and Korenev winged it in the muck.

Hand #182: Korenev made it 275,000 on the button and Koppel defended. Another club-heavy flop of {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} was spread out before the two and they both checked. Koppel bet 350,000 on the {6-Spades} turn and Korenev gave it up.

Hand #183: Anderson raised to 250,000 on the button and won the hand.
