Day 2 of the $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship Begins at 11 a.m.

Welcome to PokerNews Day 2 coverage of Event #32: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship! This event always draws a huge field of players meeting the minimum age requirement of 50 years old, and 2019 is no exception.

The Day 1 field included 5,916 entries, just two short of last year's record-breaking number of 5,918 for this event. As Day 2 gets set to begin, 1,778 players come back today as the field narrows down, with the top 888 finishers going home with at least the min-cash of $1,499.

This event will resume at Level 11 with the blinds at 800/1600, and play through 10 1-hour levels today. Players get a break after every two levels, including a 75-minute dinner break after Level 16.

Big stacks in the field at the beginning of Day 2 include Adilson Moraes (379,200), Albert Halfon (361,700), Ravinder Bedi (321,800), Ronald Larsen (289,900) and Mark Kroon (274,400). WSOP bracelet winners Yue Du (266,8000) and David Pham (247,700) are also near the top of the leaderboard, as they battle on with the possibility of adding another WSOP championship to their career accomplishments.

Other notables coming back for Day 2 include David Einhorn who has 195,200 chips, and WSOP bracelet winners like Peter Eichhardt (149,400), John Esposito (140,000), Farzad Bonyati (139,000), Phillip Tom (133,300) Konstantin Puchkov (130,200) and Barbara Enright (107,600). WSOP Main Event champions Joe Hachem (80,600) and Greg Raymer (71,000) are also still in the hunt as Day 2 gets set to kick off.
