Welcome to Day 2 coverage of Event #62: $10,000 Razz Championship. Yesterday's starting field of 96 players was trimmed to just 42 overnight, although those numbers should pick up a bit as registration remains open until the cards go in the air at 2 p.m. The prize pool and payout information will be available shortly thereafter.

On top of the counts heading into Day 2 is Andre Akkari, way out in the lead with 508,000 chips. Rounding out the top five are David Bach (308,500), Marco Johnson (254,000), defending champion Calvin Anderson (248,500) and Max Pescatori (241,000).

Anderson had a tumultuous start to his Day 1, finding himself down to just six big bets in Level 4. However, the defending champion ran it up fantastically from that position and finds himself fourth in chips to begin the day.

A plethora of big names remain in the mix as you can see below.
