Kessler Wins Despite Worst Possible River
Level 5
: 300/500, 0 ante
Action folded to Chris Vitch in the hijack who raised to 1,800. Allen Kessler was in the big blind and asked for confirmation of the bet size before tossing in chips to defend. The flop came and both players checked. Kessler bet the pot, 3,900 on the turn. Vitch called.
Both players checked the river.
"Absolute worst possible river card," griped Kessler as he turned over . He then tabled to complete his hand, showing queens up with a missed nut-low draw.
"I'm sorry about your river, Allen," Vitch said calmly as he tossed his cards to the muck.
