Confusion Preflop Leads to a Three-Way All In
The floor had been called over to a table in Brasilia. What it transpired had happened, was that David Hong had moved all in for 53,000 and Ari Engel had flatted on his left. It folded round to the small blind who asked how much the bet was and the dealer replied "53." The player put in 5,300 and the floor was called to clear up the situation. The floor ruled the call stood and the player made up the difference. With three in the main pot, the dealer placed on the flop.
The small blind checked and Engel put just 11,000 over the line, which was called. On the turn the small blind lead for 85,000, which left just 5,000 behind. Engel looked bemused whilst he mulled it over and counted out his chips. After a minute or so in the tank, he moved all in for 87,500. It was called and the cards were turned over.
