Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for Day 2 of Event #87: $3,000 H.O.R.S.E.

Sunday saw a total of 301 players take to the felt for Day 1 to create a prize pool of $812,700 that would pay the top 46 finishers a minimum of $4,463. First-place prize, however, is set at $206,173 and comes with the coveted WSOP bracelet, too.

The 301 player field was reduced to just the final 127 players on Day 1 with Harold Klein bagging the chip lead with 123,200. Sitting behind Klein is Justin Liberto (116,900), Yueqi Zhu (115,000), David Levi (108,200), Christopher Wallace (102,000), and Nicolas Milgrom (101,500) as the only other players above the 100,000-chip mark.

Sitting eighth in chips overall is the defending champion Brian Hastings who bagged 95,500. Last year, Hastings won this event for his fourth WSOP bracelet when he defeated the 354-player field to capture the $233,202 first-place prize on a final table that included Andrew Brown, Tim Marsters, Jeff Madsen, Lee Markholt, Dutch Boyd, and Bruno Fitoussi.

Players also surviving into Day 2 include WSOP bracelet winners Andrey Zaichenko, John Monnette, Kevin Song, Jim Collopy, Ryan Riess, Tom Koral, Chris Ferguson, Ron Ware, Daniel Negreanu, Gary Benson, Greg Mueller, Benny Glaser, John Cernuto, Konstantin Puchkov, Dan Matsuzuki, Max Pescatori, Dominik Nitsche, Tommy Hang, Paul Volpe, Ismael Bojang, Dan Heimiller, Robert Campbell, Phillip Hui, Cliff Josephy, David Singer, Tony Ma, Scott Clements, Brandon Shack-Harris, Marco Johnson, Rep Porter, Jeff Lisandro, Ben Yu, Jeff Madsen, Mike Matusow, Joao Vieira, and Ian Johns. The First Lady of Poker and Poker Hall of Famer Linda Johnson will also be back on Day 2.

Play resumes on Monday, July 15, at 2 p.m. (PDT) with the PokerNews Live Reporting Team providing continuous live updates of all the Event #87 action. So stay tuned to PokerNews.com for all the continued coverage of this event, and the final few events, from the 2019 World Series of Poker.
