Mackey Misses a Chip
There was around 18,000 in the pot on a board of and the player in the big blind bet 7,000. James Mackey raised to 40,000 and after about a minute, his opponent folded.
While he was thinking about his action in the hand, the player in the big blind was shuffling his remaining chips. After folding, Mackey realized there was a green, T$25,000 chip belonging to his opponent had that he had not seen when making the raise. Mackey asked politely if he could keep that separate, as his raise in the previous hand had been based on having not seen the large denomination chip, meaning that Mackey thought he was putting his opponent to the test for his tournament life.
Either way, the hand resulted in Mackey taking down the pot right then and there without a showdown.
