Deveau Coolers Zarate on River
The board read and there was around 50,000 in the pot with action on Daniel Deveau in the small blind. He bet 40,000 into his opponent, Ivan Zarate, who was in middle position.
Zarate went into the tank and was seemingly in pain over the decision at hand. He stated that there was no way he was going to be able to fold and then stood up and continued to deliberate. Eventually, he tossed in chips to call.
Deveau tabled for a rivered set of aces.
"Gah!" said Zarate as he turned over for a cracked set of kings and proceeded to walk about eight steps away. He circled back around as the table commented on the hand that just took place.
"You played it better than me," Deveau said.
"I guess so," Zarate responded.
"I don't know if I could find a fold on the turn," said Deveau.
"Nice hand," Zarate said as the dealer began to pitch the cards for the next hand and play continued.
