Turner Calls It Off With One Pip Worse Kicker
Jon Turner was deep in the tank on the river with a board that read , he was facing an all in bet from Milos Skrbic who easily had Turner covered.
Turner toiled with the decision as his last 1,300,000 was at stake. He took a stack of chips in his hand and pounded them on the table as he thought. He tightly squeezed a single chip that he held in his hand as he was very torn over the decision, seemingly almost to the point of physical pain. After several minutes he still seemed torn.
"This is my first tank of the tournament" Turner said he continued to mull it over. Eventually after about five full minutes he tossed in one chip for the call. Skrbic turned over the for top pair and Turner immediately said "nice hand" and defeatedly flipped over the for top pair but with a one pip worse kicker.
A few of the players at the table expressed amazement and wondered if Skrbic had wanted a call or not, to which Skrbic would provide no clear answer as Turner waited for payout standing by the table with no more chips in front of him.
