Dewitt Toasted

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jeffrey Dewitt shipped his last 350,000 into the middle from under the gun and was called by Carlos Guerrero in middle position. Action then folded around to Pim Gieles in the small blind who shoved for 2.7 million.

Guerrero asked for a count to confirm how much and proceeded to go into the tank for over four minutes. Eventually, he called clock on himself. As soon as the word clock was audible, Jeff Madsen mentioned he wanted to call a clock with a smile on his face.

A floor man was standing right at the table and stated that because Madsen also called clock, the full 30 seconds would be allotted for Guerrero's decision as opposed to the 10 seconds a player gets should they call the clock on themselves. Guerrero used the whole 30 seconds before deciding to let his hand go, making it time for the other two players to turn their hands up and run the community cards.

Jeffrey Dewitt: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Pim Gieles: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts} without any sweat for Giles, sealing Dewitt's fate with less than two hours of play left in the night.
