Colpoys Four-Bets Brinkley, Then Calls His Bluff
Dan Colpoys has been seen nursing a short stack throughout almost the entirety of Day 5. He was last seen with just over 600,000 and just shared the fact he got as low as 300,000 before chipping back up to 1.2 million "somehow, without showdown."
From there, Colpoys found a double with pocket aces and has won a few and lost a few pots since with the general trajectory upward. He started the following hand with around 3.1 million.
Colpoys opened from under the gun to 160,000 and action folded around to Andrew Brinkley, who was on the button. Brinkley asked him how much he was playing and he responded that he wasn't sure. Brinkley asked how that could be in a joking manner as Colpoys counted and cut out some chips to get a ballpark figure.
Brinkley announced a raise to 450,000 and the blinds got out of the way. Colpoys quickly four-bet all in.
Brinkly took about five seconds to fold, saying, "alright, I'll fold my jacks to you,"
"No you won't," said Colpoys as he turned over . A few people at the table laughed a little. "Show it, show the jacks," egged Colpoys as he pushed the two cards Brinkley had mucked and sent to the center of the table a little bit back in his direction. Brinkley responded pushing them away to the direction of the dealer.
"That's what I thought buddy. You didn't have jacks. You're f*****," laughed Colpoys as he finished stacking his newly accumulated chips.
