Ustimov vs Loosli
Ustimov vs Loosli

After the folds of the two big stacks Christopher Kruk and Suraj Mishra in early position, Sylvain Loosli open-shoved for more than 15.7 million in the hijack and Viktor Ustimov called all-in for 5,441,128 in the big blind.

Viktor Ustimov: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Sylvain Loosli: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{a-Spades} and Ustimov doubled, Connor Drinan flashed the mucked {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} which would have flopped the nuts.

The Short Stacks Chip Up

Level 42 : 250,000/500,000, 60,000 ante

Viktor Ustimov raised to 1 million on the button and was called by Suraj Mishra in the big blind. Mishra check-raised the {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop from 881,100 to 2.3 million and Ustimov quickly let go.

One hand later, Connor Drinan limped in and Christopher Kruk raised to 1.5 million. That ended up winning the pot for Kruk as Drinan folded.

Drinan got those chips back from Kruk when he three-bet jammed into a min-raise by Kruk, who folded after brief consideration.

Daniyar Aubakirov was the next short stack to add some chips when he defended the big blind against Mishra's min-raise and open-shoved the {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop for more than 3.4 million.

Arsenii Malinov Eliminated in 8th Place ($152,113)

Level 41 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante
Malinov eliminated by Loosli
Malinov eliminated by Loosli

Sylvain Loosli chipped up after winning a single-raised showdown hand against Suraj Mishra and the next hand saw the entire table fold to Loosli in the small blind. The UK resident used the "my last hand" emoji and raised to 7 million, which covered the stack of Arsenii Malinov in the big blind.

A quick call of the Russian followed and the cards were turned over.

Arsenii Malinov: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Sylvain Loosli: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Loosli nailed the {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop and Malinov was drawing dead on the {2-Spades} turn, which made the {j-Spades} river a formality. Malinov takes home $152,113 for the efforts and Loosli has taken over a narrow chip lead with seven remaining.
