Arnaud Enselme Wins Event #33: $500 THE CLOSER

This year's 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online has officially come to an end with Arnaud Enselme standing tall as the champion of Event #33: $500 The Closer.

Enselme, who has over half a million in live cashes according to his Hendon Mob profile, had a handful of small cashes in this years GGPoker WSOP Online, including in Event 1: $50 The Return NLH for $1,100 and Event #7: $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER NLH for $3,377. However, today's cash of $360,223 marks a career-best score and first WSOP bracelet for Enselme.

The final day of Event #33: $500 The Closer saw 1,089 hopefuls returning from across 16 separate Day 1's, which in total attracted 7,103 entries and generated a $3,373,925 prize pool.

It took just three levels to burst the bubble, with Tien Thanh "Terryboom" Nguyen claiming the unfortunate title of "bubble boy" after blinding down to less than a single big blind and losing with eight-trey all-in preflop against "Humbo"'s {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

A few notables who managed to cash before busting include Mark Radoja, Jeff Gross, James Chen, Daniel Dvoress and [Removed:412].

It took just about seven hours from the start to reach a the final table, which included Kazuki Ikeuchi, who got 2nd in the live WSOP 2019 Millionaire Maker event for $830,783.

The bottom four stacks of Ethan Reid, Ryosuke Matsumoto, Koki Kudo, and Qiu Kefei were eliminated in short order after each got all-in preflop against a single opponent and ending up second-best.

Ioannis Angelou-Konstas, who led in chips going into the final two tables, would eventually fall in 3rd place after incorrectly calling down against Ikeuchi with a pair of fives against the pocket jacks of Ikeuchi.

Heads-up play began with Ikeuchi holding an over 2:1 chip advantage over Enselme. It looked to be Ikeuchi's tournament after increasing his advantage to 4:1 by winning a series of small pots, but the tide quickly turned after Enselme rivered two-pair and doubled through Ikeuchi after Ikeuchi tank-called a river shove from Enselme.

From there, Enselme managed to re-take the chip lead and would eventually get all-in against Ikeuchi's {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs} with a dominating {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and holding to seal his victory.

Kazuki Ikeuchi Eliminated in 2nd Place

In what would be the final hand of the tournament, Kazuki Ikeuchi open-shoved for just shy of 50 million and Arnaud "Chocolatine" Enselme called to put Ikeuchi at risk.

Arnaud "Chocolatine" Enselme: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Kazuki Ikeuchi: {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Ikeuchi was dominated and looking to improve, but the {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop left him drawing nearly dead.

The {9-Spades} river sealed the deal, and an irrelevant {6-Spades} dutifully completed the board — thus officially eliminating Ikeuchi in 2nd place and ending the tournament.
