Cuevas Doubles Through Weintraub Before Break

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Rico Cuevas moved all in from early position for his last 118,000 chips and Shawn Weintraub made the call.

Cuevas had to hope to win a race, as he showed {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Weintraub had {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Cuevas doubled to 275,000.

Weintraub was left with 425,000 as players headed out on a 20-minute break.

Abbe Finds Aces to Damage Behrens

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

A huge preflop hand was in progress with two of the larger stacks battling. Jack Behrens was on the button and found himself all in against the small blind, Leo Abbe.

It was a cooler situation as Behrens held the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} against the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} of Abbe.

The board would stay safe for the aces as it ran out {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

There was a lengthy delay with the chip counting as it the stacks were close. Eventually it was determined that Behrens still had chips remaining and just like that Behrens was a short stack while Abbe had heaps.

Starnoni Leaves Martinez with Crumbs

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Randy Martinez raised to 46,000 from the button before Marco Starnoni three-bet all in from the big blind for his last 126,000. Martinez snap-called.

Starnoni- {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Martinez- {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Starnoni had Martinez dominated and remained in the lead on the {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop. The {k-Clubs} on the turn gave Martinez a flush draw, but he failed to hit when the river came {10-Spades}.

Starnoni doubled to 260,000, while Martinez was left with only around 10,000.

Schmidt Gets Kim to Fold the River

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Bobby Schmidt bet 27,000 from early position on a flop of {k-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Daniel "DK" Kim came along from middle position.

Schmidt slowed down on the {10-Clubs} and checked to Kim, who bet 54,000. Schmidt called and they saw the {a-Clubs} fall on the river.

This time Schmidt led out with 80,000. After a few moments of thought, Kim let his hand go and surrendered the pot to Schmidt.

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Adam Lamers
Adam Lamers

PokerNews's Adam Lamers was seen getting up from his table and heading over to the payout desk after losing his remaining chips to Travis Williams.

According to Williams, he shoved from the small blind with {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Lamers called off his last 108,000 with {a-}{3-}. The flop came {k-}{j-}{10-} with two hearts, giving Williams a flush draw which he completed on the river.
