Lauson Hits Case Ten to Score a Bounty

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Travis Lauson shoved all in pre-flop and his opponent, with about 15,000 behind, made the call. Lauson had him covered.

Lauson tabled {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and was up against {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Lauson didn't need it, but the flop still gave him the last ten in the deck for a set.

He's up to around 50,000 and collected his opponent's $300 bounty.

Quads Over Quads

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

One of the dealers at the Rio came over to the PokerNews booth to share a wild hand. She said that the "table bully" shoved all-in on the river for 17,300 with {5-}{5-} on a board of {5-}{5-}{9-}{9-}{x-} for quads but ran into higher quads as their opponent held {9-}{9-}.

Raymer Gone

The action was recapped at Greg Raymer's table about what had happened.

Raymer had opened under the gun to 800 only for Hong Li to three-bet to 2,500 which Raymer matched to see a flop.

The flop came out {q-}{j-}{8-Diamonds} and Raymer check-called a bet of 4,500.

The turn came a {7-} and Hong Li pushed all in which Raymer called for his tournament life.

Greg Raymer: {a-}{j-}
Hong Li: {a-}{a-}

Raymer could not find the jack on the river, he signed a fossil for Li, and left the tournament area.

Hawkins Makes a Prediction

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Maurice Hawkins has been his usual chatty self over on Pavilion #121.

He recently predicted when he was going to bust a player sitting to his right.

"1,000-2,000 blind level is when you are going to leave," Hawkins said. "You think I'm joking but I'm telling the truth."

Hawkins has the rest of his table laughing over his boasting. He currently sits just below the starting stack.

Litvinov Knocks a Player Out

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

We caught the action after a player on the button shoved all-in for 5,000 with {a-}{2-} and then Ivan Litvino three-bet all-in as well, but no one called.

Litvino shipped the pot and we were told he hit a {k-} to hold on and scoop the pot, busting his opponent.

Full House is Good For Kalisek

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

At table 57, the under the gun player raised to 700 and received a call from Clayton Kalisek on the button and Joseph Cheong in the big blind.

The flop came down {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the action checked over to Kalisek on the button who bet 1,100. Cheong snap folded and the under the gun player called.

The turn brought the {a-Diamonds}, action checked to Kalisek who fired for 3,300. After some deliberating, the under the gun player called.

The river brought the {10-Spades} to which, after seeing another check from under the gun, Kalisek bet 10,200, sending his opponent into the tank. After about 20 seconds of thought, the under the gun player tossed in the call and Kalisek tabled his {10-Clubs}{9-Spades} for tens full of nines to take down the pot.
