Underwood Puts Major Dent in Mash
Level 5
: 300/600, 600 ante
Benjamin Underwood, who made three final tables in No-Limit Hold'em events at the 2019 WSOP, opened to 1,500 from early position and called when Howard Mash three-bet to 6,500 from the big blind.
Mash continued for 6,000 on the flop and Underwood called.
On the turn, Mash slowed down with a check and Underwood bet 11,000.
Mash called to see the river. He checked once again and Underwood went all in for about 45,000.
Mash went into the tank for several minutes, counting out his remaining stack. He eventually folded to fall down to 65,000.
"I hope I'm right," he said after the pot was pushed to Underwood.
Underwood now has 90,000, while 2016 Main Event champion Qui Nguyen has 60,000 sitting to Underwood's left.
