Robert Mizrachi Bags Chip Lead on Day 1 of Event #18: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball
After ten levels of mixed draw-game action, Robert Mizrachi bagged an impressive 201,000 chips and the chip lead going into Day 2 of Event #18: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball.
That feat is made all the more impressive given how stacked today��s field was. Amongst the players were no fewer than two dozen WSOP gold-bracelet holders. Of those, several will return for Day 2 on October 9 �C including Julien Martini (180,000), Frank Kassela (54,500), Daniel Negreanu (61,000), David Benamine (112,000), David ��ODB�� Baker (50,000), Steve Zolotow (37,500), Scott Seiver (177,000), Benny Glaser (129,000) and defending champion Dan Zack, who bagged up a healthy 127,500.
In total, there were 253 entries, which generated a $562,925 prize pool. Thirty-eight players will cash, with a min-cash being worth $4,097. The eventual winner will take home $134,390. 104 players ultimately survived the first day.
Play is set to begin at 2 p.m. on October 9 and continue for ten more hour-long levels. Limits will begin at 2,500/5,000 and unlike Day 1, players will get a 60-minute dinner break after level 16 (~8:30 p.m.)
