William Higgins Eliminated in 12th Place ($6,823)

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
William Higgins
William Higgins

William Higgins was all in preflop and the flop read {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. A large side pot was brewing as Daniel Wasserberg bet 800,000. Joseph Sanders called.

The turn was the {a-Hearts}. From the small blind, Sanders pot bet which had Wasserberg covered who snap called.

William Higgins: {k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Daniel Wasserberg: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Joseph Sanders: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Higgins would need the wheel to survive, Wasserberg was looking for a straight and Sanders needed to hold.

The river came the {q-Spades} to bring in broadway for Wasserberg and give him the huge pot and eliminate Higgins.

They also chat about early champs bolstered by behind-the-scenes interviews w/ bracelet winners like Zinno and Bradley Jansen. Plus, they touch base on the Golden Nugget’s Grand Poker Series, including John Gardner’s $100K victory in the $600 Championship Event.

Finally, Chad chats with Justin Hammer of Prime Social in Houston, Texas, who will be hosting the Prime Poker Open from October 29-November 14. That series will culminate in a $1,700 buy-in, $1.5 million GTD Main Event.

Robert Cowen Eliminated in 13th Place ($6,823)

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Robert Cowen
Robert Cowen

Robert Cowen went all-in and the action folded to Michael Prendergast, who called with his opponent covered.

Robert Cowen: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Michael Prendergast: {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Cowen was already out of his seat as his opponent flopped a full house. The {2-Clubs} turn and {4-Clubs} river didn't change the outcome and Cowen was sent out in 13th place.
