There really is something for everyone in the 2021 WSOP schedule. There's mixed games, High Rollers, freezeouts and bounty tournaments.
But if you're looking to play on a budget, there are still plenty of events for you to choose from!
PokerNews have put together the ultimate guide for players with smaller bankrolls, including the Colossus, Deepstack Championship and Salut to Warriors. Check it out here!
The WSOP Circuits all-time championship ring leader, Maurice Hawkins heads the list of contenders in Event #26: $1,000 Freezeout No-Limit Holdem, trying to catch Day 1 chip leader Levi Klump and claim a WSOP gold bracelet.
The 14-time WSOP Circuit champ held the chip lead most of the day, but in the final levels as others surged to the top of the leaderboard, Hawkins stack (915,000) remained hovering around the one-million chip mark.
Klump, a Las Vegas resident with less than $10,000 in tournament earnings according to The Hendon Mob, soared into the lead after taking a pair of pots from tablemate Frankie Muzzio in the final stages of Day 1. Hell start the day as the only player over two million in chips (2,230,000).
Other notables among the remaining 38 entrants include Maxx Coleman (790,000), whos recently been crushing the PokerGo tour with several final tables in mixed game events there. Hell enter the day with an above-average stack.
Another name to watch will be Natural8 Ambassador Pete Chen.
Chen, who has been hugely successful in the live and online scene in Asia is coming off his first WSOP bracelet win just four days ago, when he took down Online Event #3: WSOP.com $400 No-Limit Holdem Ultra Deepstack for $82,559. Chen enters play with 920,000 chips.
And finally, Kazuki Ikeuchi will be looking to finally break through with a WSOP victory, after runner-up finishes in 2021 GG Poker WSOP Online Event #33 C The Closer, the 2019 Millionaire Maker, and the 2018 $1,000 Tag Team event.
The players return to the Amazon room at noon local time to play down to a winner, wholl take home $199,227 and the WSOP gold bracelet.
Action resumes at level 23 with blinds of 15,000/30,000 with a 30,000 big blind ante, and well have you covered all day at PokerNews, as we crown another WSOP champion from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
