Two-time WSOP bracelet winner David “Bakes” Baker (815,000) headlines Tuesday’s Event #34: $1,500 Triple Draw final table, but it’s a relative unknown from Washington state with just one previous WSOP cash that paces the field entering the day.
Peter Lynn (1,680,000) made the most of a late Day 2 surge, including a large pot at the end of the night to narrowly take the chip lead into Tuesday’s action, ahead of Baker and five others.
Hot on his heels are a pair of players, including Lithuanian pro Kristijonas Andrulis (1,665,000), who held the chip lead most of the day before ceding to Lynn by night’s end. Andrulis will be looking to better a 2018 third place finish in the $10,000 WSOP 2-7 Triple Draw Championship event.
Also entering the day with over a million in chips is Mark Fraser (1,355,000), who could be considered a serial WSOP min-casher, with 19 in-the-money finishes to his name, but none worth more than $4,474. That came after a 688th place finish in the inaugural Colossus tournament in 2015.
Fraser has already shed that label with his final table appearance Tuesday, and along with the other five players, will have his eyes on the $87,837 top prize and the WSOP gold bracelet.
Rounding out the field is Stephen Deutsch (985,000) and Marc Booth (620,000), who battled back from just 45,000 in chips with two tables left.
