Welcome to Day 1 of Event 34: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw.

While the No-Limit Single Draw version of this game plays down to a winner later Sunday, the rest of the mixed gamers will begin Day 1 of the $1,500 Limit Triple Draw tournament.

The three-day event kicks off at 3 p.m. PT in the Amazon room, and while field sizes for this event have been in the mid to high 300’s since 2014 when the tournament became a $1,500 buy-in, a slightly smaller field could be possible, as has been the case with several events due to travel restrictions.

2019 WSOP Player of the Year and champion of this event Robert Campbell will be among those unfortunately not attending, as he hasn’t arrived in Las Vegas yet, but is planning to attend later, according to a tweet sent before the series began.

Those in the field today will begin with 25,000 chips at blinds of 100 / 200 and limits of 200 / 400. They’ll play 15 40-minute levels, with 15-minute breaks after every three levels. Late registration will be open for nine levels, until approximately 9:45 local time.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the drawing, patting, snowing, and lowball action from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
