Daniel Strelitz Vying For Second Bracelet In Event #47: $5,000 Freezeout No-Limit Holdem

After two days of grinding on the felt, just five players remain for a shot at the top prize of $428,964 and the coveted gold bracelet in Event #47: $5,000 Freezeout No-Limit Holdem.

One-time bracelet winner Daniel Strelitz (5,345,00) enters second in chips and will be looking to add another piece of World Series of Poker gold to his collection.

Strelitz, 31, has more than four million in tournament earnings, including a bracelet back in 2019 in Event #11: $5,000 No-Limit Holdem. He has 45 cashes at the WSOP, including a 24th placed finish in the 2012 Main Event.

The player in the best position to take home the title however, is Alexandre Reard (8,820,000). Reard, from France, bagged a sizeable chip lead last night and boasts an impressive resume of more than three million in tournament earnings and two WSOP circuit rings. He had a close call with a bracelet back in 2020, placing fourth online in the GGPoker.com No-Limit Holdem Bounty Six Max for $56,475.

Qing Liu (3,375,000) enters the day third in chips. He has six career titles spread out through the poker universe and nearly two million in career tournament earnings. He is still searching for his first bracelet at the WSOP though but gets that opportunity today.

Rounding out the pack is Conrad Simpson (2,390,000) and Ren Lin (1,535,000). Simpson owns a WSOP circuit ring and has 23 WSOP cashes, but this final table provides an opportunity for a breakout win for the player. Lin could also score a signature win with a victory today. He has 14 cashes at the WSOP, but if he pulls off the win, it would be the biggest score of his career.

Players will return at 3 p.m. today, Tuesday, October 26, with the blinds at 60,000/120,000/120,000.
