Coghlan Is Behind, Ahead, Then Behind Again

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

David Coghlan moved all in for 550,000 from middle position and Erik Eberts re-shoved from the button. Everyone else folded and they went heads-up.

David Coghlan: {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Erik Eberts: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Coghlan flopped two pair on {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} to take the lead, but the {2-Diamonds} on the turn gave Eberts a higher two pair. The {3-Diamonds} on the river improved Eberts to a straight and sent Coghlan to the rail.

Kubi Misses, Doubles Wright

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

A few hands after taking the pot off Eric Froehlich, Elad Kubi, Froehlich, and Darrin Wright saw a flop of {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Wright, in the small blind, bet 300,000, Kubi raised all in, Froehlich got out of the way, and Wright called for another 200,000.

Darrin Wright: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Elad Kubi: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Wright was ahead with two pair, eights and threes, while Kubi had the nut flush draw. The turn and river came {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, missing Kubi as he sent a significant portion of his stack to Wright.

Kubi Dents Froehlich Early

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Elad Kubi raised pre-flop from under the gun and received four callers, including start-of-day chip leader Eric Froehlich from early position. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{a-Spades} and all five players checked.

Action checked to Kubi on the {6-Clubs} turn and he bet 200,000. Only Froehlich stuck around to see the {9-Spades} river. This time Kubi slid forward a rack of 5,000 chips for a bet totaling 500,000.

Froehlich studied the board for a moment before folding.

Burchfield Hits Lucky River to Bust Two

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Kris Burchfield
Kris Burchfield

No-Limit Hold'em

On one of the first hands of the day, Kris Burchfield raised pre-flop, Jason Dabney moved all in for 340,000, and Orod Ashegh called all in for his last 310,000.

"Alright, let's gamble," Burchfield said as he called.

Jason Dabney: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Orod Ashegh: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Kris Burchfield: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Ashegh spiked a queen on the {3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop and stayed ahead on the {j-Spades} turn. But the river brought the {4-Diamonds}, improving Burchfield to a full house and eliminating both players.

"Running hot," Burchfield said as he took the chip lead.

"So that's how you got all those chips," Ashegh said before he and Dabney headed for the payout line.
