Cummings Bags Overwhelming Chip Lead in Event #52: $1,000 Seniors Championship
Day 3 of Event #52: $1,000 Seniors Championship turned out to be a memorable day of WSOP action as 148 starting players became just 16 after nearly 12 hours of scintillating poker with all remaining players making a huge jump in payouts.
Bagging the overwhelming chip lead at the end of the night was Christopher Cummings who finished with 22,650,000 which is well over double the second largest stack and is one-fifth of the chips remaining. The Houston, TX native emerged as a chip leader in the middle part of the day and just continued to climb from there, eliminating several players.
Second in chips with 9,700,000 was Dennis Jensen who is enjoying quite a successful and fun ride in what he says is his first ever WSOP event.
Right on his heel in third place was Daniel Lujano with 9,325,000.
There is a drop-off from the third place stack to fourth where Eric Sunde sits with 7,325,000 and Todd Hansen rounds out the top five stacks with 7,315,000.

As the day progressed many of the well-known players began to drop including Allen Kessler who hit the rail early in the day in 144th place, Barry Greenstein in 89th place, Eli Elezra in 47th place, Pat Lyons in 26th and finally John Mcnaughton was the last elimination of the night in 17th place.
