Gamble's Monumental Moment
"This is a monumental moment," Gamble said to the table as he raised from under the gun. There was not much acknowledgement from the table of the moment and action folded around to Joao Vieira on the big blind. Gamble had around 55,000 left and Vieira was thinking it over.
Mike Thorpe began to question the players in the hand.
"What is going through your mind right now?"
Gamble explained that they were thinking about how the bets would play out, and at what point in the hand he might commit all of his chips.
"I don't think," Thorpe said.
On the first draw, Gamble took two and Vieira drew three. Vieira bet and Gamble called.
Both players took one on the second draw and checked.
On the third draw, both players took one. Vieira checked and Gamble bet. He had just one 5,000 chip behind.
Vieira thought it over.
"This is a good spot for a bluff," he said as he called.
Gamble turned over and Vieira mucked his hand.
Michael Trivett offered support to Gamble.
"Us gingers are hard to kill."
"Yes! Make sure that ends up on PokerNews," Gamble said.
