Day 2 of Event #6: $25,000 High Roller NLHE Begins at 2 P.M.
Welcome back to Day 2 of Event #6: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em where at least 54 players will make a return to their seats for the start of play at 2 p.m. A total of 135 entries have been recorded thus far with Jake Daniels leading the way through the opening eight levels, bagging a stack of 1,182,000 chips.
Daniels is closely followed by Michael Liang (1,028,000) who was the only other player to put a seven-figure stack in their bag. James Chen (835,000) rounds out the top three stacks after Day 1 but many folks will have their eyes on Jake Schindler who will be returning with 667,000 chips.
Schindler has been around the high-roller scene, especially within the United States, for what seems like many years now and has accumulated over $27 million in career earnings. The one thing missing on this youngster's resume is the elusive WSOP gold bracelet and he would love nothing else to bring an end to that this fall.
The action will resume on level 9 with the blinds at 5,000/10,000 and a 10,000 big blind ante. Late registration will remain open until the start of play today with each new entry receiving 150,000 chips to begin. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after level 14. The schedule indicates that 10 levels will be in order for today or until the final table is reached. The remaining players will then return to fight for the bracelet on Day 3.
