Day 2 of Event #61: $600 Deepstack Championship has come to a conclusion. A total of 3,916 entrants generated a prize pool of $1,997,160. There are 40 players advancing from 488 at the start of the day. Those remaining are guaranteed a payout of $5,917. The winner will take home the first-place prize of $252,491 paired with the coveted 2021 World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Perry Ernest bagged the chip lead going into Day 3 with a staggering 10,500,000 from just 287,000 at the beginning of the day.

Ernest took the chip lead midway through the day when he won 4,000,000 chip pot against Terry Fleischer with a full house. He solidified his lead in the last hour of the night when Tanya Kirk ran her pocket kings into his pocket aces for him to eliminate her and scoop a 6,000,000 chip pot to put him over the 10,000,000 mark.

Sami Rustom (7,150,000), Marc Rangel (6,800,000), Richard Dixon (6,430,000), and Edgardo Rosario are a few other notable stacks going into Day 3.

Barry Shulman (2,425,000) and Mark Seif (950,000) are former WSOP champions left in the field who are on the hunt for another gold bracelet.
