Kupin Doubles Through Gross

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Aaron Kupin
Aaron Kupin

Aaron Kupin pushed his remaining chips into the middle on a flop of {2-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and was called by Jeff Gross.

The hands were tabled and it was the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} held by Kupin that trailed the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} held by Gross.

The turn card {j-Diamonds} changed things and Kupin catapulted into the lead with trip jacks.

The river card {9-Spades} changed nothing, and Kupin secured a double up and chipped up to 600,000.

Gross and Zyrin Make a Wheel

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jeff Gross raised to 110,000 on the button and was called by Anatolii Zyrin in the big blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Zyrin check-called a bet of 80,000 from Gross.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and Zyrin checked again. Gross counted out a bet of 275,000 and Zyrin check-raised all in. Gross stuck in the rest of his stack and showed {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Zyrin turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for the same hand. Gross was free-rolling to three-quarters of the pot if a six came but it was the {9-Diamonds} as both players chopped the pot.

"I couldn't have got fucked there, right?" Gross questioned.

"No. You needed a few more cards before you could have gotten fucked," Josh Arieh replied.

Arieh and Colpoys Chop a Big One

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Dan Colpoys raised to 70,000 on the button and Josh Arieh three-bet to 240,000 from the small blind. Colpoys called and the dealer spread the flop of {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

Arieh led out with a bet of 400,000 and Colpoys raised the pot, sticking in his stack of a little over 1,100,000. Arieh also pushed his stack of chips into the middle and the cards were on their backs.

Dan Colpoys: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Josh Arieh: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Colpoys flopped trip fives with the nut flush draw but Arieh had a straight-flush draw and the only low draw. The turn brought the {6-Clubs} which locked up half the pot for Arieh. The {q-Spades} on the river gave the other half to Colpoys as the two players chopped a massive pot.

Matt Woodward
Matt Woodward

The action was picked up on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Spades} with Matt Woodward who moved all-in and was called by Danny Chang.

The hands were tabled and it was the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} held by Chang versus the {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} held by Woodward.

The dealer placed the turn card {j-Hearts} and Chang catapulted into the lead with a better two pair, aces and jacks with a queen kicker.

The {10-Hearts} river card changed nothing, and Woodward was eliminated in 8th place and took home $46,813 in cash.

John Esposito

On a flop of {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, John Esposito and Anatolii Zyrin got all of their chips in the middle with Esposito at risk for around 250,000. Esposito held {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} for trip sixes while Zyrin showed up with {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

The turn brought the {k-Spades} and Zyrin made trip kings to pull ahead.

The {9-Spades} on the river didn't improve anyone and Esposito was eliminated.

Alan Sternberg Eliminated in 10th Place ($30,755)

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Alan Sternberg
Alan Sternberg

Alan Sternberg raised to 105,000 on the button, leaving himself with just 5,000 behind. Josh Arieh re-raised in the big blind and Sternberg quickly called.

Alan Sternberg: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Josh Arieh: {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}

The flop of {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} gave both players a little of everything. It was the {8-Clubs} on the turn that improved Arieh to a straight and the best low hand. The {10-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and Sternberg was eliminated.
